How I deal with my fringe

About two months ago, I decided that I was sick of my hair as it was. I really wanted a change. On impulse I went the hairdresser the next day and told the lady to cut me a straight fringe. Could it be that I watched too much New Girl? Half an hour later I walked out with shiny new hair covering my forehead. In this article I will explain in detail how I style my new bangs.

I noticed two problems with my fringe: nr. 1 It gets greasy quicker than my other hair and nr. 2 It doesn’t stay in place well. To solve those two problems I created a new hair care routine. I do this most mornings now and it takes me about five minutes.

Fist of all I use No Drought Dry Shampoo by Lush. This is a grease-absorbing powder that smells like grapefruit and lemon. You are supposed to sprinkle some of it on your roots and then massage it in. I use this on days when I don’t wash my hair.  I sprinkle it on my fringe, leave it there for half a minute and then lightly tease my fringe with my pink Tangle Teezer.  This gets rid of the white cast that No Drought leaves, creates some volume in my straight hair and refreshes it.

The second step to my routine is the actual styling. For this I mix in Sea Spray by Lush with Weleda Rosemary Hair Lotion and pat in on the surface layer of my fringe. This gives the hair a boost of shine and creates a bit of hold without making it sticky. These two products also make my hair smell really good. The scents work great together. After that I finish it off by lightly spraying it with Superdrug Ultra Firm Hold Hairspray and I can start my day with some banging bangs.
