P2 Just Dream Like Trio Blush meets Too Faced Sweethearts Blush

Hi there, readers! As you could already see in my post ‘Went to Berlin and bought a few things‘, I stumbled upon a few very cool looking makeup products in Berlin (aka vegan heaven). I was particularly interested in the brand P2. This is a budget brand with lots of vegan options. These options are all clearly labeled on the site from DM (= Drogerie Markt = the German drugstore that sells P2).

P2 currently has a limited edition that is called ‘Just Dream Like’. I liked the look of most of the products, but the blush from the collection was the one that stood out the most to me. Dare I say that we have a dupe for Too Faced Sweethearts on our hands? Let us compare the two shall we…

The first thing I noticed when I placed the two blushes side by side is that Too Faced Sweethearts (this one is in Candy Glow) is quite a bit bigger than the P2 Just Dream Like Trio Blush. Maybe it contains more product? Wrong! The blush by P2 contains 7,5 gram E and the one by Too Faced contains 5,5 gram E. Hmmm, eyes can be deceiving…

The second thing that I noticed is that, in the pan, the blush by Too Faced has brighter colors than the one from P2. When you look at the swatches below, you will find the opposite. The colors from the blush by P2 swatch slightly brighter than the ones from Too Faced. I also found the P2 blush to be slightly more pigmented.

Once both blushes are applied to the cheeks (I applied one blush on my left cheek and the other on my right cheek), the effect is pretty similar. The blush by P2 is slightly more pink and has somewhat bigger glitter particles. While swatching, I also found that the texture of the Too Faced blush is softer and more finely milled.

All in all I am impressed by the Just Dream Like Endless Love Trio Blush. It is more pigmented and contains more product than the Sweethearts Blush by Too Faced. The only downside that I found was that the structure of the powder didn’t have that same ‘nicely milled’ quality as the one by Too Faced. The colors aren’t far off and I would doubt if you could tell the difference between the two once applied to the cheeks. And oh, did I mention that the one by P2 is about ten times cheaper than the one by Too Faced?!

You can read my review of the Too Faced Sweethearts Blush here.

You can buy P2 products at DM (if you are lucky and live in Germany, that is). The Just Dream Like Endless Love Trio Blush is available until the end of April. It costs somewhere between 3 and 4 euro.
The products featured in this post are vegan and cruelty free.
