Review: Beauty Without Cruelty Lipstick

Today I am reviewing two animal friendly lipsticks by Beauty Without Cruelty. The Natural Infusion lipsticks are completely natural, contain no perfume and are housed in a classy tube. I bought these along with their foundation that I already reviewed. Sadly I didn’t like that one too much. Let’s see if the natural infusion lipsticks perform better…

I really like the packaging that these lipsticks come in. It is classy, elegant and feels quite high end to me. The heart swann logo of Beauty Without Cruelty is a total winner in my opinion.

To me, the lipsticks smell a lot like the lipsticks that my mom used to wear when I was a kid. They really have that old school lipstick-without-perfume scent that you either love or you hate.

Left: Wild Watermelon, Right: Reckless Ruby

The two colors that I bought are Wild Watermelon (a very cool pink with blue iridescence) and Reckless Ruby (a deep dark berry). When swatched, Wild Watermelon looks like an easy to wear soft pink. On the lips however, it looks way more pink and bright and it even has a bit of a Barbie-vibe to it. The color applies smooth and evenly and wears comfortably throughout the day.

Reckless Ruby is a gorgeous deep berry shade. It doesn’t apply as evenly on the lips as Wild Watermelon (which is often the case with darker colors like this one), so you have to put in a little extra work to get an even coat on your lips. The result however is worth it in my opinion and the lipstick stays put pretty well.

For a 100 % natural lipstick, the pigmentation of these lipsticks is very impressive. They are definitely one of the best vegan lipsticks I’ve tried so far and I plan to get my hands on some more of these in the future.

I only have one question and maybe you can help: Do you know which colours BWC is using? Of course they listing it in the INCIs but I’m still wondering what they are (didn’t here from them till now).
    Do you have some info?!

and …. it’s good that they are right now in your MUJI drawer 😉

    • Hi there,
That is so awesome. It makes me really happy that you like it as well!
I don’t know any specifics of the coloring that BWC uses, but I did find this: Free from parabens, sulphates, petrochemicals, silicones, synthetic dyes, artificial fragrance. Does that help?

      Enjoy Reckless Ruby!
