Hi there, readers! As you could already see in my post ‘Went to Berlin and bought a few things‘, I stumbled upon a few very cool looking makeup products in Berlin (aka vegan heaven). I was particularly interested in the brand P2. This is a budget brand with lots of vegan options. These options are all clearly labeled on the site from DM (= Drogerie Markt = the German drugstore that sells P2).
P2 currently has a limited edition that is called ‘Just Dream Like’. I liked the look of most of the products, but the blush from the collection was the one that stood out the most to me. Dare I say that we have a dupe for Too Faced Sweethearts on our hands? Let us compare the two shall we…
If I were to describe the packaging of the Too Faced Sweethearts blushes in one word, than that word would be ‘girly’. The pink heart-shaped cardboard packaging speaks to the former teenager in me and, even though it is far from subtle, even the grown up in me appreciates it. The actual blush itself consists of three parts, a bright cool-toned pink, a warm peach and a more neutral peach. Looks like a real must-have for all blush lovers out there, but is it really?
The pigmentation of Sleek powders is amazing. However, that same amazing pigmentation can create an instant clown-face if not approached with the lightest hand. I therefore have a love/hate relation with some of my Sleek blushes. They are just so easy to overdo and have the potential of ruining your entire look. That is why I went to a store in Antwerp that sells Sleek blushes and swatched them all. I came home with Flamingo and Pixie Pink. These two blushes seemed to have the most ‘workable’ opacity.
Since march is almost gone, I wanted to do a collective review on all the beauty products that I bought this sunny month. Prepare for a picture heavy post with sparkles, popcorn and flecks of gold.
Barry M recently came out with three new budget-friendly palettes containing six eye shadows and a blush each. The three palettes are the Smokin’ Hot palette, the Glamour Puss palette and the Natural Glow palette. Since, like most people, I tend to go for neutral eye shadow the most (boring?), I opted for the natural version.
Oh yes, finally a new post! I have indeed been a bad blogger. My excuse: I had an exhibition this month that required my full attention. The good news: it is now rounded up so I can go back to my usual sporadic blogging ways. My first post-stress article will be a chit-chat about my favorites of the month. It will feature only vegan products.
