Ever since I got my first Too Faced palettes back in 2012, I’ve been obsessed with them. The quality is amazing and the palettes have great color selection. A couple of months ago, I bought the Matte Eye palette which, as the name might suggest, comes with only mattes. The palette is very versatile as it offers both warm and cool colors. Another big plus to me is that this palette is vegan.
Barry M recently came out with three new budget-friendly palettes containing six eye shadows and a blush each. The three palettes are the Smokin’ Hot palette, the Glamour Puss palette and the Natural Glow palette. Since, like most people, I tend to go for neutral eye shadow the most (boring?), I opted for the natural version.
Blue Had Me At Hello is a palette for real blue lovers. When you look at it you immediately notice a vibrant teal blue. It’s a real showstopper. Also interesting are the two blacks in it. Let’s see if this one gets our stamp of approval…
Effy is a character in the British tv-show ‘Skins’. She’s one of the most important characters in season 3 and 4. Skins has an incredible stylist and make-up artist. This look is one of the most ‘famous’ looks in Skins. It is a very special look and a lot of beautybloggers have tried to remake it. As we also really love it, we decided to both recreate it so you guys could see that you can use a whole bunch of different products to get the Effy-look. Also the shape of our eyes is different, which might be interesting. It is intriguing how a look that seems this easy can be this sophisticated. It both took us a while to get the ’round’ shape of the smokey eye right. This is what the original look looks like.
Lumi is a loose eyeshadow from the colorful brand Sugarpill. Not only is it a beautiful and special eyeshadow, it is also vegan which is really cool.
